The structural obsolescence problem
Control units and electronic components often reach end of life (EOL) after just five to ten years. Machines, vehicles and plants, by contrast, stay in service for 20 to 30 years. That leaves a gap of many years between the availability of the electronics and the service life of the system.
The result is a structural problem. A single obsolete component can bring an entire plant to a standstill. Spare parts are no longer available, a one-for-one replacement is not possible, and a full modernisation ties up budget and time that you need elsewhere.
ZMS closes that gap. We make obsolete electronic assemblies available again and keep existing systems running, whether as an aftermarket solution in automotive, for legacy control systems in industry, or for critical control units in mechanical engineering.
How we solve it
Targeted redesign with modern components makes obsolete control units and assemblies available again.
We use components that stay available for years, and we deliver results that match the original in form, fit and function (FFF).
Scalable production from prototype to series, with availability secured for the long term.
Reduce failure risk. Cut investment costs. Avoid production stoppages.
